iQOO's Raid Nights: A worthy idea
This campaign may be two years old, but as they say - a good idea is timeless. So here it is, coming to you, a little belated.
I recently came across this campaign by phone brand iQOO. It featured comedians Tanmay Bhat and Samay Raina, and gamer Gamerfleet trying to find India’s next big streamer. Essentially, the trio would drop in on young streamers’ profiles and react to the content - drawing attention from their large audiences to deserving young channels. In online gaming parlance, this is called “raiding” (in fact, Gamerfleet was a beneficiary of a Samay Raina raid). The iQOO Raid Nights is a format where this would happen two hours every Friday night till the selected raid-ees participate in a live, grand finale. It gelled well with IQOO’s brand imagery of extreme performance, and gaming.
